Thursday 27th August - walks **** – Felixstowe – sunny periods.

Woke at 5.15 and decided to get up and walk down to Felixstowe seafront to catch the sunrise before the forecast rain arrives, I said to Mag before I left I would meet her by the pier! I arrived at the beach near the town hall at 5.30 with the sky a little red towards the Fludyers with a large bank of cool clouds above which made for a nice photo but I didn’t think I would get to see the sunrise? I set up my camera on a concrete groyne as I didn’t take my tripod and snapped away, I turned and saw Mag come down Constitution Hill and she didn’t spot me and walked away towards the big wheel, the opposite way to the way she usually goes so I headed after her. I had just got past the pier when I turned and spotted a red ball break the horizon and was treated to an amazing display as the sun appeared under the pier, I got some nice pics before I bumped into Mag returning so we continued onto Bent Hill and up the pram walk, we are off to Ipswich later to see my sisters new puppy:)
The light rain arrived in Felixstowe around 10.30 so I had a quick drive down to the seafront to take a few more weather pics before we headed over to Ipswich to visit my sister with an added bonus of Auntie Diane was there, we had a great catch-up chat and the new puppy was great too:) I then add an appointment at Ipswich with an eye problem which went really well before we continued onto Levington Marina to sit by the Orwell to enjoy a peaceful hour plus with our picnic :) Then home for another cuppa after a top day!
